Difficulty Chart

This difficulty chart will help you navigate to find the perfect hike for your skill and fitness level. These range from green to black, increasing with difficulty, elevation, and duration. It is a great tool for quick links to some of our recommended hikes for each level. Use this to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone!

 
Green – What is Nature?

Easy – great for beginner nature walkers, and those curious to get a taste of the great outdoors. These are usually not a full day of hiking with minimal elevation gain. 

Orange – Nature Lovers

Intermediate – for the more experienced nature walkers, who maintain a moderate fitness level. These will be longer trips still doable in one day but starting the day early. 

Black – One With Nature

Advanced – only for the well equipped nature walkers, not recommended for first timers. Will require good physical and mental stamina, and may need to have a reliable, 4X4 vehicle.

Please know your limits when it comes to taking on nature, exploring is beautiful but safety is the first priority. If you are unsure which level you think you can achieve, please drop to an easier level and work your way up. These adventures are meant to be enjoyable not stressful.
